HanKey Privacy Policy

HanKey (the “App”) is a custom keyboard app for iOS. This policy explains what the App collects and how that information is handled.
1. What you type is never collected
Text you type or convert, clipboard contents, and words you add to the user dictionary are processed and stored on your device only. None of it is sent anywhere. The developer runs no server, so there is no mechanism that could receive your input.
The keyboard’s “Allow Full Access” permission is used solely to share settings and themes between the main app and the keyboard through an on-device shared container. It is never used to transmit what you type.
2. What is collected
To improve the App and fix defects, the following is collected through Firebase, a service provided by Google LLC.

These records never include the text you typed.
The App does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you for advertising purposes.
3. Transfer outside your country
The information in section 2 is sent to servers operated by Google LLC in the United States. The items transferred, the recipient, and the purposes are exactly as listed in section 2. 4. Payments
Pro purchases and tips are handled by Apple through the App Store. The developer never receives or stores payment details such as card numbers.
5. Conversion, translation, hanja, and typo correction
Korean input, hanja conversion, and typo correction run on dictionaries bundled with the App and on-device AI (Apple Intelligence). Translation uses Apple’s translation feature with language models downloaded to your device. All of it completes on device; your input is never sent to the developer.
6. Stored on your device
Settings, themes, clipboard history, and the user dictionary are stored only in the on-device shared container. Deleting the App deletes them as well.
7. Retention
The information in section 2 is retained according to Firebase’s retention settings and deleted once that period elapses.
8. Your rights
To request access to, correction of, suspension of processing of, or deletion of information about you, contact the address in section 10. Requests are handled in accordance with applicable law after verifying your identity.
9. Changes to this policy
Any change is posted on this page. Material changes are announced 30 days before they take effect; other changes, 7 days before.
